Monitoring of cattle via satellite location sensor technologies makes it possible to gather detailed information about cattle’s behavior and group dynamics. These information allows for improvement in cattle management, barn design and farm resource management. However, the high power consumption of GPS used for getting location information makes this solution impractical. We aim to solve this problem by charging the devices wirelessly during cattle’s drinking time and milking time. A wireless power transfer system for cattle monitoring devices is proposed in this research.
