Most unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight control technologies use image recognition, which reduces the ability of UAVs to fly in poor visibility conditions such as nighttime, rain, and fog. To assist UAV flight in poor visibility homes, this study developed a guidance sign for UAVs that can be read by all-weather millimeter-wave radar. Using a tag structure with an array of small corner reflectors and radar signal analysis using eigenvalue analysis, we developed a tag that can be read more accurately from a wider range.
